Isi artikelIn the recent years, the demand for efficient and reliable digital data storage and transmission increases dramatically. It is no surprise that the large scale high speed data network is driving such condition. The major problem in designing the system is how to control error arise during data transmission, in order that the correct data can be received. Coding is one of the most effective method to decrease or even eliminate the impact of error in the transmitted information.. In this paper, the result of computer simulation on the Linear Block Code will be presented and evaluated. Two methods in linear block coding, Hamming Code and Shortened Hamming Code, will be simulated using Tubo Pascal programming language. Simulation program will perform and demonstrate the encoding process, error occurrence, decoding process, and error correction process. Every steps of simulation will be shown in consecutive sequence. One display will represent one process .
