Since the creation of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Modality Policy and the establishment of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, there is a curiosity and need for complementary alternative medicine (CAM) information. Practitioners in all areas of health care are requesting thorough and stateof- the-art information and patient educational materials on CAM. The resource reviewed this month will provide the reader with the most up-to-date information on CAM and also provide specific comprehensive patient teaching tools. This review will list the specific complementary modalities and treatment options found in the resource manual and provide a summary of the patient education and assessment tools that are available within the manual.
