Home care and hospice nurses have a unique opportunity in the home to learn what complementary therapies are being used by clients and how effective they are in certain situations. The home setting offers an advantage because people are more likely to be honest about their reliance on nontraditional treatment for the primary problem as well as secondary problems or comorbidities.
