In this paper, artificial compressibility method for solving the lid driven cavity flow is discussed. Numerical solutions are obtained up to Re= 1000. In this method, velocity components are located at the corner of the cell and pressure component is located on the centre of the cell. The discrete momentum equations arc solved by Alternating Direct Implicit Method (ADI. The occurrence of spurious pressure modes can supressed. The results agree well with other results published in the literature (Deng et al, 1994).
