The Visiting Nurse Association of Mercer County (VNA) was one of the first agencies in New Jersey to receive accreditation in the mid- 1960s from what is now known as the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP). Both the agency and CHAP have undergone many changes over the years, but the concept of voluntarily seeking national accreditation to achieve a level of performance above and beyond Medicare certification remains very relevant in today’s highly competitive market.
