This issue of the journal prints at a time when summer is in full swing. August is a month of picnics, vacations, travels, time in the sun, and, as the month ends, getting ready for another year of school. In the spring, when I think forward to the activities of summer, I imagine a quieter pace, time to catch up on visiting with friends, time to go to the beach for the day, or time to sit in the sun and read a book and maybe take an afternoon nap.
