Isi artikel
The delivery of home health and hospice care continues to grow and expand, outpacing both acute and long-term care services. Nurses working in these settings require case management and problem-solving skills that meet the care needs of the homebound, vulnerable elderly. This article describes a service-oriented research and educational project between the College of Nursing at Arizona State University and seven home health care agencies and hospices to provide an educationalformat, using CD-ROM technology, for nurses who care for the elderly in the community. Not only were the CD-ROMs viewed as an effective means in which to deliver educationalinformation, but this continuing education project also promoted collaboration and partnerships between academia and the communitybased agencies.
