Isi artikel
Globalization is necessitating the development of managerial skills crucial to achieving success in a turbulent world. Educational institutions are now beginning to respond to this imperative with varying degrees of success. This article assesses the challenges posed by the talk of globalization for French management education. We analyse the strategies adopted by the French Grandes Ecoles de Commerce (business schools) in coping with the globalization imperative; assess the effectiveness of these strategies in developing new managerial skills; and conclude by assessing the effectiveness of educational organizations located in ‘tight’ cultures in developing a culture conducive to maximizing learning.
