Earthquake occurred in Yogyakarta province at 27 Ma)’ 2006. The earthquake caused death about 6000 persons and also damaged the infrastructures such as housing, road, irrigation canal. The earthquake also influenced the quantity of water resources especially to the dig wells. Twenty percent of 134 monitored dig wells have an interesting phenomenon, their water are spouted accompany sediments and suddenly dry. In general, the dry wells which have such phenomenon are located in Fault Zone i.e Widi, Plered, Jetis, Imogiri, Sewon and Batutapan Sub District. The phenomena is caused liquefy of the soil in zone fault. Chemical aspect of dig well are not much change after the earthquake compared with before.. The same condition also happened to the deep wells, springs and Opak river. However, the monitored dig wells is contaminated by coli bacteria.
