Melting andforming units are the main source of heat stress in PT IGLAS (Persero). Working in hot environment result in negative effect to the worker physiology respons those worker who work in hot environment should be healthy, young, fit and have been acclimatitation. The adequate water and salt intake is one way used to controlling heat strain. The workload must also be taken into account in assessing the recommended Threshold Limit Value of heat stress. The main objective of this study was to analysis the differences in pulse rate and blood pressures of worker before and after exposure to heat. This study is an observational, analytic study with cross sectional approach. The population of this study was worker employed in melting andforming unit. The number of sample was 21 workers taken with purposive sampling technique with given criteria (i.e. healthy, employed in morning shift). The result of this study indicated WBGT Index in all work place had exceeded the recommended standard, that were also found that pulse rate (p = 0.003) and systolic blood pressure (p = 0.01l) before and after exposure to heat were significant different and, while there was no difference in diastolic blood pressure before and after exposure to heat (p = 0.105).
