Isi artikel
This research assesses the impact on citizen satisfaction with the police of police door-to-door surveys of residents. Results suggest that these surveys may lead to lower ratings of citizen satisfaction with the police. However, this effect may be mitigated by notifying citizens of the impending inquiry prior to conducting the survey. It is suggested that police agencies that choose to implement this type of information collection technique make extensive efforts to notify citizens of the upcoming survey and the motivation for the police survey.
