It was conducted during five weeks period in a classroom (a multistage classroom of 2nd and 3rd grades), from august 30 th through october 6th, 1995). In this study the researcher tried to comprehend the degree of the implementation of multicultural education by observing five areas i. e. : 1. school / classroom setting and accessories 2. school documents , which includes : a. the curriculum b. the school guidelines, and the textbooks 3. reading resources 4. the learning styles of the students and the teaching styles of the teachers, and 5. the interactions between students & students and students & teachers / adults The results of the study indicates that in those five areas fifth avenue alternative elementary school for international studies has been significantly implementing multicultural education in its curriculum and programs.
