The two article in this section deal with Japan's policy in Northeast Asia- specifically, its stance towars two of its neighbors: China, which continues its relentless economic expansion and military buildup, and North Korea, wich continues to ratchet up tension with its nuclear development progrm and its handlig of the abduction issue. Both aertcle suggest dilpomatic approaches in the face of trying circumtances, and both agree that Japan's immediet goal should be stabilization of relation with its neighbors.
