The prevalence of the ovary cancer in Indonesia was the third among cancer cases of females, while in Dharmais Hospital its level was number two. In general, the patients visited the hospital in severe stadium, which tends to lower the recovery rate. The aim of this study was to assess the survival rate of this disease with its related factors in Dharmais Hospital Jakarta. 1he design of this study was a retrospective cohort. Samples were aft the ovary cancer patients hospitalized in Dhannais Hospital during 1996 to 2001. Data were collected from medical records. Kaplan Meyer analysis was used to calculate the five year survival rate and Cox regression was used to identify its related factors. It was revealed that the total number of ovary cancer patient were 397 cases, five years survival rate was 23, 7%; 61, 9% for stage I (43 cases), 50, 0% for stage II (6 cases), 16, 7% for stage III (73 cases) and 6, 0% for stage N (57 cases). The related factors include the clinical stage and the use of birth control. It was conduded that five year survival rate of ovary cancer Is substantially low and its related factors were the clinical stage and the use of birth control. (Juma!
