Leaf tissues of Saintpaulia ionantha were cultured in Murashige and Skoog (1962) media with addition of 0 to 5 ppm of auxin such as IAA, IBA, and NAA in combination with cytokinins such as BA, Kinetin, dan TDZ at 0 to 50 ppm to determined the optimum media composition in shoot regeneration through organogenesis. Then, the shoots obtained were subcultured in a range of shoot multiplication media prior rooting. The results of these experiments showed that the addition of 0,1 ppm NAA and 0,5 ppm BAP in the basic media were optimum for shoot regeneration and multiplication while rooting was best observed in half concentration of basic media added with 3 ppm of IBA.
