Isi artikelIn order to determine the effects of culture system and N leaf fertilization on growth and yield of soybean - rice intercropping, a field experiment was conducted at babakan sawah experimental station, IPB from april until august 2001. Split plot design with four replications was used. Culture system as mainplot namely satured soil culture (SSC), satured soil culture - dried culture (SSC - DC), dried culture - satured soil culture (DC - SSC) and dried culture (DC). N leaf fertilizer levels as subplot were 0, 5, 10 and 20 g / l water of urea. The frowth components, yield components and yield of soybean and rice on SSC, SSC - DC, and DC - SSC, were better than of DC. The highest yield afsoybean and rice were archieved by the DC - SSC and by the SSC respectively. The siybean and rice yielded by those culture were 1,56 and 2,61 t/ ha. It gave 52,94% and 39,57% higher yield than DC. The rates 20 g / l water of urea increased the yield of soybean and yielf of rice 19,67% and 22,11% respectively as compared to 0 g / l (-1) water of urea. The yield of intercropped soybean on SSC, SSC - DC , DC - SSC and DC decreased about 9,15% ; 4,79% ; 7,69% ; 9,73%. While the yield of rice decreased about 44,94% ; 37,11% ; 43,16% ; 5,08% respectively. The land equivalent ratio (LER) value were about 1,46 - 1,86. It mean that intercropped system gave more benefit then monocropped system. The DC - SSC resulted the highest benefit among the cultures system tested. It gave net benefit Rp. 2.672.450. While the rates 20 gf(-1) water of urea gave net beenfit Rp. 2.657.400.
