This descriptive qualitative research aims at classifying translation shifts of nouns and verbs in Lado's Linguistics Across Cultures and their translations and accuracy as found in Dardjowidjojo's Linguistik di Pelbagai Budaya. The data are in the forms of sentences containing nouns and verbs in these two books. The finding shows that nouns are translated into sixteen shift variations and verbs are transferred into ten shifts. Besides, most translation shifts do not change the message from the source language.
