Streetfoods play an important role in the diet of a large proportion of the children especially in the elementary school. If they are not handled or processed properly, these streetfoods may endanger the health of the children. Bacteria which is common found on the streetfoods an act as a causative agent for diarrheal disease are Escherichia coli, and Vibrio cholerae and also Salmonella as an agent causing thyphoid fever. While for food that contain peanuts usually contaminated with aflatoxin as a potent hepato-carcinogen. In this study we isolated those bacteria and then confirmed with specific biochemistry test for each bacteria. Serology test were done using polivalent antisera for V. cholerae, and Salmonella. While for E. Coli using 0111 and 026 antisera. Aflatoxin contamination test were done using thin layer chromatography. All of the isolates were test for the resistance to antibiotic ampicillin 10 ug, tetracycline 30 ug, streptomycin 10 ug and trimethoprim 5 ug. Samples were taken from five schools in North Jakarta and the other five from South Jakarta. We took for each school one meal and one beverage. Twenty-one E.coli isolates were found from meals and 48 from beverages. One isolate performed positive result in serology test using 0111. While for Salmonella from beverages we found 11 isolates and 16 from meals, serology test performed 14 isolates positive with polivalent antisera that we used. All of the isolates V. cholerae that we found come from beverages, and 5 isolates were positive 01 serotype. Antibiotic resistance analysis performed almost all of the E.coli isolates were sensitive to the antibiotics that we used. For V.cholerae 17.6% were resistance to streptomycin and tetracycline, 35% resistance to trimethoprim and 47% resistance to ampicillin. Salmonella isolates showed 53% resistance to ampicillin and 15% resistance to streptomycin. Aflatoxin contamination test showed all of the isolates contaminated with aflatoxin ranging < 3 -36.86 ppb. One sample from North Jakarta contaminated with level 36.86 ppb. Our study showed streetfoods from Jakarta elementary school poor in sanitation and quality especially from beverages.
