CLP is a sub-division of psychiatry that links psychiatry and other medical sciences, which takes an important role in management / collaborative care of medic-surgeric patient gathering with psychiatric disorder. The role of CLP becomes more important since most researches have shown the involvement of psychological factor towards the course and outcome of illness, prognosis, cost, and length of stay. To fulfil the psychiatric consultation request; to explore more information from doctor, patient's family, and key person who involves in patient‘s management; and to examine the patient‘s status are the whole preparation that should be done first before interview. Create a good rapport, keep well your manner, pay attention on privacy, try to give patient more information, and show that you are willing to help them are the main points to be concerned. During interview, always keep a comfortable environment. Ask the chief complaints and pay attention on patient's pain. Combine medical and psychiatric intervieiv, and use open ended question before go on to the speclfic question. Explore more the 4 basic information namely: mood and affect, suicide prompts, psychiatric features, and cognitive state assessment. Give more attention on pain and its management, suicidal thoughts, and the fantacy about why and how the patient becomes sick Hopefully, these could frequently decrease the patient's burden. At last, report all the result on the status.
