Fluid mechanics of the blood or hemorrheology”is the essential basic in the treatment of peripheral vascular arterial diseases. Effort to reduce the energy of blood flow in the blood vessels depends physically by pressure energy, gravitational energy, kinetic energy andthe frictional energy. Beside those factors that affects the blood flow, shearstress and theimpon’ance of the presence of atherosclerosis specially in the blood vessels bifurcations should be considered in the treatment of vascular arten’al diseases based on hemorrheology. Vascularlesions exhibits constellation that depends on its character, which is unique and individual, so that the approach in hemorrheologic therapy should always obey the principles of physics and blood flow mechanics. Drugs orpharmacis that i’s used for this purpose can affect the vessel wall mechanics, the behaviour of the blood cells which flows in the vessels, speciallythe red blood cells and platelets, and also the pressure of the blood which influence the speed and the flow behaviour inside the blood vessels. Adequate knowledge of pharmacokinetics and phamacodynamics of drugs that is being used to treat vascular arterial diseases is oultilned and described in the paper.
