Isi artikel
As a result of the deregulation of well - head natural gas markets and restructuring of the natural gas pipeline industry during the 1980 s and 1990 s, natural gas supplies are sample and prices have remained far below their previous regulated levels. Competition is well entrenched in gas production areas and is moving down stream into transportation markets. The provision of natural gas is now separated from the sale of pipeline transportation services, and local distribution services are being increasingly unbundled from the gas commodity sale. A new industry has arisen in gas marketing, which, with the imminent restructuring of the electric industy, is being transformed into a multi fuel marketing industry. The natural gas market in the twenty - first century will be characterized by a basic confidence in supply and in the ability of markets to balance supply and demand.
