Isi artikel
Selective intraoperative cholangiography can be performed during laparoscopic cholecystectomy without compromising the safety and efficacy of the operation. Bile duct injuries are not obviated by routine performance of cholangiography but rather by strict adherence to well-established laparoscopic surgical principles. Retained calculi are not increased when a selective approach is used. After being fully trained in the technique, surgeons can perform intraoperative cholangiography reliably and consistently. Selective intraoperative cholangiography during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is safe and effective and avoids the expense, potential injury, and unnecessary associated procedures that accompany a routine approach.
