Isi artikelChest pain is the most common reason for physician consultation worldwide. However, not all chest pain is related to coronary artery disease (CAD). In this article, Dr Mirza reviews how cardiac syndromes in patients who have angiographically normal coronary arteries can cause pain similar to that in atherosclerotic CAD. He also discusses how diagnosis of these conditions can help avoid unnecessary hospitalizations, consultations, and investigations, as well as decrease morbidity and mortality.
