Isi artikel
The National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute recommends that inhaled corticosteroids be used as the first-line long-term controller medication in patients with persistent asthma.’ This recommendation has been in effect for some time in adults and older children, but in 2002 the NAEPP issued an update on selected topics, in which the recommendation was extended to children younger than 5 years.2
