The task of this paper is to present a theory ot reflexive law appropriate br universal daim or law in modern piuraiistic society. It is an outstanding of Jurgen Habermas to have developed for us an ethical theory proper for universal lawmaking process, that is, discourse ethics. In discourse ethics, conflicts of action are settled by consensus. The agreement reached is truly reflexive in nature and expresses a general interest or common will because it is brought by a real process of argumentation where social agents concerned cooperate. The general will takes on a moral quality because the judgment aims at universality and imparatiality.
