The development in industrial world todays demands every factory to improve their quality and also quantity of their production in order to compete in regional and international market. For that purpose, PT X which is well known as the otomotif manufacturing production factory, should improve their production in order to compete with the other factories that have the same field The effort which PT. X do in order to improve their production target is by fixing assembling line of Dashboard. Improvement must be done with expected it will produce some better assembly line, therefore the company target will be achieved. They do the fixing process with the line balancing method Ant Colony System (ACS) with using line balancing heuristics methods for first step: Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), Computer Method for Sequencing Operation for Assembly Line (Comsoal), and Manssor Aided Line Balancing (MALB). The assembling line of PTX has 94.5 % for dashboard line efficiency percentage, 5,5 % for dashboard, balance delay, and 53.3 for dashboard, smoothness index value, before the fixing process. By analyzing the seven methods of line balancing, the result tell us that the best method which we can have is the Ant Colony System, because with this method we will get the biggest value of line efficiency percentage: 97.55% for dashboard, the smallest value of balance delay: 2.45% for dashboard, and smallest smoothness index value: 16,82 for dashboard.
