This study focused on design and prototype fabrication of anthropometric chair can be used to measure static anthropometric data in the sitting posture. Seventeen anthropometic dimensions were targeted to be measured by using the developed prototype. The development steps begun with determining target body dimensions that could be measured by the developed prototype, identifying and designing functional parts to enable measuring such dimensions, determining key feature dimensions and adjustable range interval of functional parts until the conceptual design and key feature dimensions of the prototype were achieved. The final conceptual design was visualized and analyzed into human model to see how well the prototype match with human body dimensions. Based on the result of conceptual design, the prototype was fabricated and then investigated on anthropometric measurement. This test was conducted in order to investigate how well the prototype could measure the target anthropometric dimensions. Based on anthropometric measurement testing, the prototype could measure sixteen anthropometric dimensions. Finally, we conclude that the fabricated prototype could be used to measure a number of sixteen dimensions of anthropometric data in the sitting posture.
