Isi artikelThis article explores the use for E L T young learners of predictable stories and books. These stories and books originally written for native English speaking children are finding their way into classrooms for second and foreign language learners. This genre can be used to help native English speaking children as well as children learning English as a foreign language (E F L) develop both oral language and literacy skills. The article also explores the range of language found in predictable books and discusses the suitability of this material for young children learning E F L.
