The use of endovascular stent grafts for the treatment of diffusely diseased arterial segments involves the combination of balloon angioplasty with endovascular grafts (intravascular stents linked to prosthetic grafts). This article provides an overview of currently available endovascular stent graft devices for the treatment of occlusive arterial disease involving the iliac and femoropopliteal arteries.
