I noted the thoughtful and thought - provoking article by R. Charles Moyer, "The impending restructuring of the electric utility industry : causes and consequences" published in the october 1993 issue of business economics. Dr. Moyer succinctly summarizes both the history of regulatory changes within several industries and correctly notes that competition has entered the previously monopolistic territory of the local energy provider.
