Isi artikelA principal of science called ockam's razor holds that competing theories related to a single proportion should be hudged on the basis of both their relative usefulness and their relative simplicity. While simplicity and usefulness are the basis of traditional economic thought, too often business economists lapse into attempting to address business problems in ways that are often complex and more concerned with methodology than utility. The economist, or any other professional, does so at his own peril.
