Isi artikel
Bone marrow transplantation is used as a therapeutic modality for children with various hematologic and nonhematologic malignancies, immunodeficiency syndromes, and hemopoietic and congenital disorders. Although the survival rate of these children has improved dramatically, complications resulting in significant morbidity and mortality occur in bone marrow transplant recipients while receiving the preparatory regimen, in the immediate post-transplant period, and months to years after transplantation. The imaging appearance of the complications of the central nervous system, paranasal sinuses, pulmonary system, and abdomen and pelvis seen in children following bone marrow transplantation is discussed.
