Isi artikel
The behavior of children during delivery of quality oral health care can be a challenge to dental practitioners. Some children, because of age or other personal characteristics (e.g., mental retardation), may require sedation or general anesthesia during delivery of dental care. The issues of pharmacologic indications, safety, routes of administration, sedation guidelines, monitoring, and other topics associated with sedation and general anesthesia during delivery of dental care for children are addressed in this article.
