Isi artikel
Normal tooth development involves precise molecular control and highly orchestrated cellular events. Environmental and hereditary conditions can cause disturbances in development of the dentition. Alterations can occur in the number, shape, size, and location of teeth. There also can be changes in the composition and structure of the dental issues leading to severe compromise in the longevity and functionality of the dentition. Ascertaining an accurate diagnosis allows appropriate patient counseling, prognosis prediction, and optimal treatment selection.
