Offering a spirited challenge to North American educators who see little if any merit in Marxist educational analysis, the authors maintain that a Marxist analysis of education worldwide is more urgent today than at any other time. The central argument is that Marxist analysis offers a powerful means of understanding and transforming the social injustices generic to neo liberal educational reform efforts in particular and capitalist education in general.
