Isi artikelInformal sector is an interesting issue in Indonesia’s economic development. The term informal sector in this paper refers to PKL (Pedagang Kaki Lima). It has two different sides. First, PKL has been recognized as a social net to underemployment problem in many cities in Indonesia, while their existence always against regional government’s interest in their city development. This research analyses the effect of work experience and location to PKL’s revenue. This research uses regression analyses with dummy variables. The result shows that work experience and location has a positive effect to PKL’s revenue. This research has two implications to regional government. First, the enterpreneurship of PKL is a great potency for regional government in developing unemployment reduction program. Second, PKL should relocate by considering their business interest.
