Isi artikel
A pressing problem during this period of economic recovery is that of overtime. Workers in an increasing number of industries are being forced to work 50 or 60 hour weeks. More and more workers are going on strike to protest the emerging trend of force overtime in the american workplace. Are we really managing our human resources well and scheduling overtime prudently ? While the practive of forced overtime may seem prudent from a short term cost perspective, could it be deterimental to the firm in the long run ? Employees are the firm's most important resource and it is important that they not feel treated as prisoners of work.
