The program requires an enormous amount of money, which cannot be accomplished by the current government budget. The monetary authority should sharpen the priority in the bank recapitalization program and affirm the individuals banks to operate in a more efficient manner, thus more competitive. More importantly, the government should encourage the selected banks included in the program to promote the growth of real sector. The slower the implementation process of bank restructuring, the larger the burden will be carried by the indonesian economy.
