Financing mix is the way a company manages its right side components of the balance sheet. A company may have different composition of its financing and it depends on many aspects. One aspectthat could affect a company’s decision of its financial structure is its life cycle. Damodaran (2001) suggests that the way a company finances its capital could be determined by its life cycle status. This paper presents an analytical point of view on the relationship between company life cycle and financing mix. The analysis suggests that a company should pay attention on its financial structure given its life cycle stage. A mis-management on the way a company finances its capital may lead to financial difficulties which could be detrimental in the long run.
