Isi artikelThis research was an initial step ofcomposinga Personality Psychology competency test, which is carried out through the courses Personality Psychology land II based on the curriculum of the undergraduate (S-i) study programme. As an initial step, the objective was to generate standard learning result tests for the courses Personality Psychology I (THB-PK-I) and II (THB-PK-lI). The checking oftest quality which consisted of 145 items covering content validity, item analysis, reliability testing, andpredictive validity testing by using achievement indices (semester achievement indices and grade point average - GPA) as criteria. Approximately 300 undergraduate (S-i) students from a Psychology study programme of a private higher education institution in Yogyakarta participated as stan¬dardization samples at the beginning of a new semester~ Based on standard criteria, the item selection resulted in items which fulfilled the requirements of the final form for each test, totalling 29for THB-PK-Iand28for THB -P K-Il. To maintain the content validity and to determine a subject’sfinal gradefor each course, the semi-finalform ofeach test which covered 145 items was still maintained Based on the semi-final dataform, the checking of internal consistency reliability of each test resulted in co-efficient reliability a = 0.55 (N =•92) for THB-PK-I and a = 0.80 (N = 108) for THB-PK-II. The checking of predictive validity of each test resulted in co-efficient validity = 0.72 (N = 1O8;p = 0.00) for THB-PK¬land = 0.34 (N = 96; p = 0.01) for THB-PK-lI. in conclusion, it is essential to improve items which had low discriminatoryfactors or which were even disqua4fled in their respective test.
