The number of caregiver is expected to grow along with the rising of elderly population. Caregiver is usually characterized as either formal and informal. Formal caregiver generally comes from paid professionals and private care institutions. Informal caregiver is care-giving provided by relatives, friends and neighbors. The objective of this research was to acquire the profile of informal caregiver especially in 5 region of DKI Jakarta. The subject of this research were 60 years old or older elderly who lived in 5 regions of DKI Jakarta. The research was a cross sectional survey with 205 sample which taken with 3 fold cluster stra:~/Ication. The result of the study showed that the majority of caregiver was daughters and educated high school or more high school. Based on provided the hours care availability, spouses provided more hours care per day than daughters (> 10 hours/day vs < 10 hours/day). Most the activities of elderly were daily routine task that involve either activities of daily living as well as accompanying the elderly. On the adverse study result showed that caregivers had problem an physical and mental health as well as psycho-social problem.
