Isi artikel
Supplements of any kind are always controversial in exclusively breastfed infants. Of the fat- and water-soluble vitamins, deficiencies of vitamins D and K have been well described in this population. These are the only two vitamins commonly given to breastfed infants. Vitamin K is given at the time of birth, and vitamin D is generally recommended for all dark-skinned infants or those not receiving regular sunshine exposure.
