Isi artikel
Consider the case of Quasar, a matsushita subsidiary when it purchased a television plan from an american company several years ago. While it replaced many of the managerial staff with its own people, on maintained the hourly workforce almost intact. Then it installed its own quality assurance system and began to incorporate quality into the design and manufacturing processes. Although it was considered a high technology company, the essential steps taken by Quasar to assure high quality products were actually basic common sense approaches that any company can take regardless of its product line or technical (or non technical) orientation. There were sone of the steps taken : 1. through life cycle testing of product components. 2. use of a pilot line to plan production and work out some of the bugs. 3. development of a detailed description of the process and instructions for operators of what to do and how to do it. 4. pre design of work stations to minimize chances of operator error 5. separation of adjancent assembly lines containing similar parts to reduce chances of mixes.
