Isi artikel
This essay presents a reconstruction of the Zapatista imaginary of justice and punishment. The Zapatistas of Mexico are known for their use of images – including the new media like the Internet – to ‘publicize’ their cause, and have been described as the ‘first postmodern revolutionaries’. My reading of the Zapatista sensuous imaginary produces a notion of justice as an interstitial zone of negotiation, which diverges from any understanding of negotiation as dialogue or mediation.
