The global area makes the competition in each industry be faster than before. Every company must be able to survive and be exist, they also have to be able to make profit for their stakeholder. To achieve the goal, a company needs a strategy to compete the other which in the same kind of industry. The SWOT analysis is one of the methods that used to make a competition strategy. This analysis includes the weaknesses, strengths, threats, and opportunities of a company which they have to minimalize its negative conditions such as, how to anticipate threats and weaknesses, and maximalize the positive one such as, how to get the opportunities and how to improve the company's strengths. This thesis based on how to use SWOT analysis in order to make improvement company competition ability. There are five tools in SWOT analysis : Business Strengths -Industries Attractiveness, Company Capability Profile, Environmental Scanning, and Ratio Analysis. The data are gotten by interviews and observations in accounting, marketing, and operational of the company. Based on each data, the company analysis is the final step to be made, and some advices for the future in order to improve company competition ability. |
