A study on rat was carried out to determine the influence of temulawak rhizome (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.) infuse to examination on parametric condition of blood’s (Hb concentration, PCV / packed cell volume, and MCHC / mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration) which inorganic lead administration. Twenty female rats were used in this experiment. They were divided into five treatment groups, i.e. (I) control (receiving 1 ml aquadest); (II) receiving ½ ml 12 ppm lead solution and ½ ml aquadest; (III) receiving ½ ml 50 ppm lead solution and ½ ml aquadest; (IV) receiving ½ ml 12 ppm lead solution and ½ ml 20% temulawak rhizome infuse; (V) receiving ½ ml 50 ppm lead solution and ½ ml 20% temulawak rhizome infuse. The treatment were given orally every day (from day 1st to day 30th) using a specially modified syringe. On day 30th, the blood was took by heart puncture/intra cardiac with disposable syringe. The data (Hb concentration, PCV, and MCHC) were analyzed by Anova test (a = 0,05) and LSD test (a = 0,05). The result of this study indicated that Hb concentration, PCV and MCHC were decreased by administration of lead solution. They were recovery by administration by temulawak rhizome infuse, although PCV and MCHC insignificantly by Anova test.
