Veracity in the health care setting refers to comprehensive, accurate, and objective transmission of information. Should doctors tell patients the truth? It is easier to decide what to do when the outcome is clear. It may be much more difficult to know what to say when the future is less certain. So, telling patients the truth and how much to tell still be a problematic issue in case of patient - doctor relationship.
