Caregiving studies for Alzheimers disease, stroke, and mental illness are included that, together, account for a large proportion of the published caregiver intervention studies. Discussion focuses on intervention studies that involved psychosocial treatment for caregivers and also included environmental and behavioral interventions for the care recipient.
