Isi artikelThis article is the first of a two-part series addressing the ethical handling of gender issues in family counseling.Acase is discussed in which a couple, striving for greater equity, need some guidance from a counselor. The values of the clients and the counselor do not clash. Rather the ethical handling is based on the need for the counselor to understand the impact of gender in relationships and to be gender sensitive in working with the couple.
