In neurolinguistics, how words are stored in human brains has become an interesting research topic for many years. It does not only attract many psychologists and cognitive scientists, but also linguists. Some experts believe that words are not stored in unsystematic ways for the purpose of making lexical access and retrieval easier. The present study attempts to uncover the mechanism and structure of word storage by aphasic speakers of Indonesian. The collected data, based on the speech of these speaker~, were analyzed to identify the phonological, morphological, and semantic aspects that distinguish them from those exhibited by normal speakers.
